Testimonials
"My GP asked me to visit Christina in May 2006 for Lymphatic Drainage Therapy to my right leg. I have attended regularly ever since, and have been helped greatly by the massage and the caring of other problems associated with my lymphoedema
.
Christina is a very dedicated professional and knowledgeable person, who treats each patient with sensitivity and care.
I have received great benefit from this treatment, and highly recommend it for anyone suffering with lymphoedema
or other associated problems."
Sincerely,
Nancy Beard

Treatment of affected area
The client lies on the treatment table while the Vodder technique is performed on the upper body for lymphoedema of the arm.
Initial treatments should be on a daily basis. Occasionally a second appointment is needed on the same day.
After three consecutive days of treatment, the pain and tension in the limb should be feeling much improved.
Bandaging takes place after each session for a twenty four hour period.
In about a week the oedema will be reduced.
Treatments can then continue with two or three sessions a week followed by a maintenance stage of treament every 5 to 6 weeks.
Clients are given breathing technique instructions to continue after the session.
Treatments usually take one hour and in some cases up to two hours.
Working the limb with MLD gives clients new hope and makes it possible for them to manage the symptoms of lymphoedema better.
For the most successful outcome there needs to be a commitment on the clients part and a willingness to be open to dealing with
psychological issues that may come up, knowing that they will be treated with understanding and compassion by the therapist.
The client goes home with renewed hope and instructions for exercises and care of their Lymphoedema.
